Ken was born in Fresno in 1942 and graduated from Roosevelt High in 1960. He then graduated from CSUF in, 1965, While at CSUF he and a best friend enlisted into the U.S. Marines Corps. as reservists. He served a total of 6 years duty ending with the rank of Sergeant.
He began to take an active role in Veteran's issues. He participated in MIA and POW walks including a 100 mile walk to raise funds to bring the Mercy Helicopter to be placed in the Porterville Park recognizing the men of Porterville who were killed in Viet Nam.
He served as liaison with the Veteran's Center of Fresno for 20 years. He helped organize the Veteran's Day Parades for a number of years.
He often prayed with dying veteran's and for many years he worked with the Christian Ministry at California's Avenal State Prison.
He has been honored with his name placed on the wall of Honor at Fresno's VA Medical Center. He is currently involved with the Central Valley Honor Flights to Washington D.C.
