Chris Bridger was awarded the 2016 Community Awards - Firefighter of the Year. Chris Bridger joined the Clovis Fire Department in 2004 as a Fire Fighter. In 2009 he was promoted to Fire Engineer. Wishing to expand his knowledge and increase his professionalism he became a Fire Investigator, Firefighter in Safety Education, as an elementary school instructor and a fire department CPR and Wildland instructor. His interest in community service and fire safety led him to volunteering and becoming a Board Member of the Alisa Ann Ruch Burn Foundation (AARCBF), a California-Based nonprofit organization dedicated to preventing fire and burns, teaching fire prevention education and providing services to those who have been affected by a burn injury. He served 2 years as AARBF President and as a Camp Champ Counselor. Camp Champ is a summer camp, geared toward the needs of children who are burn survivors.
