Corporal Scott Borsch

Scott Borsch was born in 1977 In Santa Maria, California, the youngest of 3 children. He was an excellent high school athlete played colligate baseball at Cal State Stanislaus and graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1999.

After Graduation, his first assignment was as a California Department of Corrections Correctional Officer at the California Men's Colony in San Luis Obispo.  In 2001 he moved to Arizona to attend the Police Academy for Peoria.

While in Peoria, Scott was part of an officer-involved shooting, earning a Distinguished Service Metal.

In 2007 Scott transferred to the Clovis Police Department. Scott worked in Patrol, in the busiest part of the community during his first four years in Clovis. After four years in Patrol, Officer Borsch became a Detective, expanding his experience to a broader range of cases, partnerships with other law enforcement agencies, and Clovis Police Department colleagues. Scott was promoted to Corporal in July, 2015. In his new supervisor role, he has enjoyed mentoring younger officers.  Scott has a demonstrated desire and ability to develop new newer officers into experienced crime fighters.

Scott has been a member of the Clovis PD Bomb Team since 2012 and has been the Bomb Squad Commander. He continues to serve as a Sargent with the Clovis Police Department.
