Giuseppe Chiaramonte was awarded the 2016Community Awards - Police Officer of the Year. Giuseppe attended the Santa Clara County Justice Training Center where he earned a Leadership award. He served as a Santa Cruz Sheriff's Deputy from January 2003 to June 2014. He received a letter of commendation related to an elder abuse case while he was assigned as a detective in the Santa Cruz Sherriff' Office. Giuseppe joined the Clovis Police Department in June 2014. His peers commented that he is a "Solid Officer" involved in numerous community activities, extremely efficient and proactive, with most arrests and reports and ran most calls on shift. A great example of what a Clovis Police Officer is. Never slows down or stops.
