Cheryl Rogers

Dr. Cheryl Rogers was born, raised and educated in the Fresno area. She earned her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Fresno State University (FSU), and earned distinction as one of the first two graduates of the University of California (UC), Davis-FSU Joint Doctoral Program. Beginning what became a 39-year Clovis Unified career in 1975 as a Speech Therapist at Weldon Elementary School, Cheryl also served as Program Coordinator, Counselor and Learning Director, as well as an Elementary and Alternative Education Principal. In 1994, she was appointed to Clovis High School as the district's first female principal of a comprehensive high school. Throughout more than a decade as Assistant Superintendent for the Clovis High area, schools flourished under her leadership and that of her Principals, earning accolades such as National Schools to Watch,, National Blue Ribbon, California State Distinguished,, Title 1 Academic Achievement and California Business for Education Excellence Awards. Her career highlights also encompass recognition as a  1997 Central Valley Top Ten Business/Professional Woman of the year and 2011-2012 Woman of the year National Association of Professional Women.
