Brian Cox

Brian was born and raised in Clovis and graduated from Clovis West in 1982. In college he obtained an AS degree in Fire Science. He was hired as a reserve firefighter with the City of Clovis in 1983.

He trained as a SCBA Technician. In 1984 he attended a fire academy in Madera. He was hired as a full time firefighter in Merced in 1987. In 1989 he was hired fulltime with the City of Clovis.

In 2000 he promoted to Fire Engineer and was a recipient of the Firefighter of the year award.

He assisted in the formation of the SCBA consortium that involved the fire departments for the Kern CO. to Modesto. He facilitated the first purchases of the composite oxygen cylinders and composite 45 min. SCBA cylinders in the U.S. He has assisted and facilitated numerous fund raising events.
