Brad Couchman

Engineer Brad Couchman was named Clovis Fire Fighter of the Year in 2014. Engineer Brad Couchman was transferred from the Sanger Fire Department to Clovis Fire Department in 1998 and was promoted to Engineer in 2005. Engineer Couchman was regarded by his peers as one of the most reliable, trustworthy, and knowledgeable Engineers in the entire Department, with a tremendous mechanical aptitude. He frequently completed field repairs to fire fighting equipment, with little more than "bailing wire and duct tape," allowing the equipment to remain on site to continue fighting the fire. He always performed his duties at the highest possible level and was admired by other firefighters as the Engineer they aspired to become.
