Bernard Chase

Bernard Chase "Bernie" was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1997 for his display of Clovis spirit. He served 16 years in the Marine Corps before being medically discharged after a undergoing cancer surgery. Bernard continued to serve his country and community by volunteering at the VFW and Ladies Auxiliary, including working at the VFW firework stand each July; staffing the VFW soda booth at Big Hat Day and Clovisfest; decorating the VFW float for the Rodeo Parade; helping with Memorial Day services and Veteran's Day events; volunteering at the Clovis Balloon Expo; cooking for VFW dinners; and attending flag presentations at the Clovis Convalescent Hospital.
