Tom Vidmar was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2012. He was born in Ohio and joined the Navy as a young man. He was stationed at Beeville, Texas as a jet mechanic and later transferred to Lemoore Naval Air Station where he was deployed on the U.S.S. Hancock in Vietnam. He returned to Lemoore in 1964 and met his future wife, Linda. They moved to Ohio for several years. When the GI Bill was passed in 1966, Tom and his growing family moved back to Fresno where he was employed at a tire store. Tom later graduated from Fresno State with a degree in industrial technology. He worked as a parts and service representative for Ford Motor Company. In 1982, he retired from Ford and opened a feed store business. In 1984, Tom was offered a franchise from a vinyl window builder and distribution corporation which became the foundation for Anlin Windows. The company outgrew its original site and moved to its current location on Tollhouse and Fowler in Clovis. Tom's patriotism and faith are displayed in the decorations in front of Anlin each year during the 4th of July and Christmas.
