Mary Krause was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1990 for her service to the community, acting as a role model for the Clovis youth. She was a bus driver for 22 years for the Clovis Unified School District and received the California Highway Patrol’s Blackwell award for 20 years of safe driving. She also was a member and leader of the Dry Creek 4-H for 35 years as well as a resource photography leader for Fresno County. Before coming to Clovis, Krause was a painter for Walt Disney Productions, painting for the studio’s animated films. She performed in area rodeos with the Victor McLaughlin Light Horse group in Los Angeles. Krause served on the Dry Creek School Board and was honored for her work with youth by being named a life member of the California School Employees Association. She was also the founder and charter member of the Clovis Art Guild.
