Wayne William Rhode Sr was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1996 for his professional contributions to the community. He helped form the Clovis Police Reserve in 1953 and was a reserve sergeant from 1954 to 1958. He served as a Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce serving as chamber president, during which he hired the first chamber manager. William Rohde was a member of the Clovis Rodeo Association and served as director for many years, treasurer, vice president, and president.
