The Ricchiuti family were inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2005 as founders of the Clovis community. In the year 1914, Vincenzo Ricchiuti set foot on fertile American soil. Coming from Bisceglie, Italy with a desire to establish himself in San Joaquin Valley's farming community. It was when Vincenzo's son, Pat Ricchiuti, completed his military service in the United States Army and returned home from World War II that he decided to begin his career. His goal was to take on the challenge of diversifying the family modest business. With a lot of hard work and help from his growing family, his efforts eventually proved to be fruitful. In 1963 the Ricchiuti's established P-R farms, Inc in Clovis specializing in growing, packing and shipping tree fruits and almonds. Over the years, the Ricchiuti's have been honored and recognized for their extensive philanthropic involvement and generosity. Whether it is Children's Hospital of California, St. Agnes Medical Center, Community Hospitals of Central California, California State University Fresno, the Foundation for Clovis Schools, Fresno County Farms Bureau, local churches, or host of other causes and organizations , the Ricchiuti Family is well known for their dedication and willingness to serve.
