Roxie Varadian was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2005 for her representation of Clovis Life. She was also inducted in 1998 as a Friend of Youth. Becoming a teacher at Clovis High in 1940, she taught many subjects such as math, English, social studies, shorthand, P.E. and library ship. She also coached the girls' tennis and baseball teams. She severed as the school librarian for twelve years, worked as a counselor and retired as the director of district libraries in 1976. Roxie was involved with many organizations such as the Fresno State Alumni Association, American Association of University Women, the Clovis Big Dry Creek Historical Society and the Clovis Senior Center. With one final act of kindness following her death, her estate provided close to $400,000 to local groups that included $50,000 to Community Medical Center - Clovis, $25,000 to the Clovis Big Dry Creek Historical Society and $100,000 to the Foundation for Clovis Schools.
