Pauline Middleton was inducted into the Chamber's 2000 Hall of Fame. Pauline was born in Sanger and remained in the central valley for her education through college, meeting her husband Paul at Reedley College. After moving several times due to her husband's military service, they settled finally in Clovis where she became active in the Clovis Art Guild where she held most of the offices at various times including organizing the Old West Art Festival. In 1957 Pauline was recruited to help in the Junior Livestock department at the Fresno District Fair working with the 4-H and Future Farmers for forty years, seventeen of those years were in livestock. When the Junior Exhibits building was reorganized, Pauline was asked to become superintendent. Upon her retirement from that position, she continued to assist in arranging displays and in judging. During her children's school years Pauline was active in their PTS's and the new Tarpey School activities. She has been very active in the Clovis Memorial United Methodist Church and its women's activities since the family joined in1949. She served on the building committee when the church moved, and was chairman for building the social hall. In 1993 she was put in charge of the Mission Thrift Shop.
