Lifelong Fresno County residents, Joyce and Phil Morelli have dedicated their lives to family, careers, and community service. Married for over 63 years, they have two children, Jeri Swenson (Danny) and Anthony Morelli (Brandi), and four cherished grandchildren—Jordan, Emma, Nicholas, and Matthew.
Phil is an avid sports memorabilia collector, while Joyce has spent years researching Phil’s Italian genealogy. Their shared passion for Clovis runs deep, having purchased their home near Takahashi Farms in 1964.
Joyce built a distinguished 36-year career in the court system, beginning at State Center Bank before becoming an assistant to Judge Zelka. She served as a court clerk for Clovis Justice Courts for 15 years and then Fresno County Superior Court for 21 more, earning widespread respect for her dedication and professionalism.
Both Joyce and Phil have been deeply involved in community service. Joyce volunteered extensively with the Clovis Chamber of Commerce, United Way, Weldon Elementary PTA, Clovis Bobby Sox, and Clovis High Band Boosters. She played a pivotal role in school bond campaigns, co-founded Clovis High Band Bingo, and even opened their home to prepare meals for Clovis Police officers during Rodeo weekends. Phil, a longtime football referee, shared her commitment to supporting local athletics, with Joyce often cheering from the stands or running snack bars for Clovis Youth Soccer.
After retirement, Joyce devoted 18 years to the Clovis Hospital Guild, serving in leadership roles, including Guild President. More recently, Joyce and Phil have spent their time supporting their grandchildren’s baseball and softball journeys across California and Nevada.
Together, Joyce and Phil exemplify a life of service, family devotion, and unwavering commitment to their community. Their legacy continues to inspire those who know them.
