John Weldon

John  Weldon grew up in Clovis, California and was inspired by his late father Luke to honor and serve the city to the best that the community deserves. John grew up in the northeastern part of Clovis attending Clovis elementary and Clovis High. Furthering his education, Mr. Weldon continued his studies at the California State University, Fresno. In 1914 he took over the family business and continued to pour into the town he loved. He was the owner and operator of Clovis Dray and Ice Co. for 50 years. John also served on the Clovis City Council and was elected Mayor, following his fathers foot steps. John Weldon was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1976.
