James Pendergrass

James Pendergrass was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1991 for his professional contribution to the community. Pendergrass was born in Visalia and he established his medical practice in 1921 in Clovis. He was a World War I veteran, a past master of the Clovis Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. He was the mayor of Clovis in 1928 and served as county health officer from 1930 to 1933. With his brother, Dr. Clayton Pendergrass, he owned the Clovis Sanitarium.
