Ira Handley Arbuckle was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1997 for establishing varies platforms ensuring the longevity of Clovis. For this he was named as a founder in the Clovis Hall of Fame. After being appointed as Postmaster of Clovis he established the city delivery service for Clovis. He also participated as a founding board member in the creation of the Clovis Veterans' Memorial District
