Henry Jones was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2004, for his service to the community. After serving honorable in WWII, Henry became a barber in 1952 in Fresno. He has spent much of his life working towards the betterment of Native American heritage. In 1946 and 1968 he worked on the California Judgments that provided millions in funds for Native American. In 1960 Henry and a Gentleman named Harvey Ince founded the Sierra Indian Center by brining together neighboring tribal leaders from around the area. The Center's Mission targeted youth programs, college education, and building of a museum. The group started the Indian Fair Days in North Fork, which has become the oldest and largest Indian celebration in California. Funds raised at the museum have provided scholarships to Native American youth going to college. The Sierra Indian Center also helped establish the Central Valley Indian Health Clinic on DeWitt and Sierra avenues in Clovis.
