Harry Armstrong was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2010. He graduated form Merced Union High School and subsequently joined the US Navy, serving during the Korean War. After his tour of duty he worked in the dairy industry for 35 years. His community life started with the Boy Scouts spending many years as Scout Master and Explorer Post Advisor in Clovis and also served on the Executive Board of the Sequoia Council of Boy Scouts of America. Harry has a long supported community parks and has donated and planted over 80 trees in the Clovis park. He has taken up several leadership positions in the Clovis community such as Chairman of the Fresno County Transportation Authority and the Fresno County Water Advisory Board. Harry Armstrong has truly earned the recognition as a Clovis Citizen of Distinction for his decades of community leadership and spirit of giving back to his community.
