Eugene McGaughy was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1980 for his business and professional contributions to the community. He served 3 years in the U.S. Navy in Occupied Japan as a medic. After being discharged, he worked at the Fresno County Hospital and spent summers in Sequoia National Forest with his wife. He was an ambulance driver and ranger. Eugene operated Clovis Appliance for 28 years, which was the appliance portion of Clovis Furniture. He served as a board member for the Clovis Hospital and Clovis Unified School District.
