Emil Prudek was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1980 for his business and professional contributions to the community. In 1954, Emil bought his first barbershop in Clovis, operating it for 10 years. He operated other barbershops in Campus Town and Tarpey Village. Besides barbershops, Emil also operated the Shaw Avenue Barry Farm. His achievements include, grand marshal of the Clovis Rodeo Parade (1980), serving as Chamber of Commerce president (1957), serving as Fresno Sokol Club president (1954), and developer of the Clovis Memorial Hospital.
