Doug Dresser was elected in 1978 for the Clovis Hall of Fame for his leadership and professional contributions to the community. For 32 years, he was head of the Junior Livestock Department for the Fresno District Fair. He served as president for various agencies such as, Clovis Unified School District Board, Fresno County 4-H Club Council Leaders, Clovis Farm Bureau, Clovis Chamber of Commerce and Fresno County Association of Chambers of Commerce. From 1956 – 1960, he served as mayor for the City of Clovis. He has received huge recognition from the community, the Clovis Unified School District gave him “Doctor of Community Service” honorary.
