Conrad Bitters was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2008 for his educational contribution to Clovis. Bitters taught for 37 years, life and earth science at Clovis Unified Schools, after which he headed the educational programs at the future Valley Nature Educational Center on Temperance and Sierra Avenues in Clovis. Bitters believes that biology is supposed to be living. So, he has created a hands-on teaching approach which started in his classroom and extends out into the wild.
