Pat Hill was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2006 as the Citizen of the Year. With the football team struggling academically and athletically, Pat Hill and his hiring of John Baxter, with his Academic Game Plan pushed the Fresno State Bulldogs into a new era. Within a decade Fresno State football players began to be considered to have some of the best academics following Stanford, Air Force and Utah in the Western United States. Pat hill wants future Bulldogs to have the same academic and athletic opportunities of today's teams. He has led the fundraising for the Ricchiutti Academic Center for students-athletes and the Green V Association that will generate funds for athletic programs throughout the Valley.
