Clyde Barnett was elected in the Clovis Hall of Fame in 1978 for his business contributions to the community. A Central Valley native, he served as a merchant marine during World War II to help transfer ammunitions for the armed forces. For 24 years, Clyde handled the Polluck B&B Market and the Boice Funeral Home while serving as president for the Funeral Directors Association. He served as president for other organizations such as, the Clovis Memorial Hospital Board, the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and the Clovis 20-30 Club.
