The Clovis Unified Governing Board was inducted into the Clovis Hall of Fame in 2009 for their continuous pursuit for greater education for the Clovis Unified School District. Acting as the rudder by which the school community is steered through rough waters, or through calm seas. The seven-member Governing Board has set the tone for the District's growing student and employee population. Under their supervision Clovis Unified Academic Performance Index results rose to the top of unified school districts in the San Joaquin Valley; 49 schools were awarded California Distinguished School honors and another 17 received National Blue Ribbon awards.
