Clovis Chamber of Commerce

In 1999 the Clovis Chamber of Commerce started a new tradition by also honoring organizations for The Clovis Hall of Fame for their contributions. The Clovis Chamber of Commerce is awarded the 2000 Clovis Hall of Fame award for over 90 years of working for Clovis. In 1910 the Chamber was found to have an office in the old Southern Pacific Depot in Clovis and that is the first record found for the Chamber. Prior to that there was a record in 1894 of Clovis Business Association which would become the Chamber and it incorporated in 1930. The Chamber has been active in bringing utilities to town along with bringing the 168 freeway, The Clovis Center Community College and outstanding promotional events such as Big Hat Days, Clovisfest and the Children's Electric Christmas Parade. During the 1990's the Clovis Chamber was the fastest growing Chamber in the state and was recognized as "Large Chamber". There are currently 1053 members with many businesses being members for over 80 years.
