Bob Ferrara

Bob received the 2016 Community Awards - Founders. Bob's family moved to Academy in 1922. He attended Dry Creek school and graduated from Clovis High School in 1943. H was allowed to miss portions of the school year during his junior and senior years to work on the ranch in support of the war effort. In 1944 he joined the Army and served in the 25th Infantry. He was awarded the Bronze Star for Combat in Luzon. Upon discharge from the Army raised wheat and cattle on 6,000 acres in Madera County. He received the 2014 Fresno-Kings Cattleman of the year.
